Jane Pickett produces slip decorated earthenware -
inspired by the beauty of nature and influenced by
medieval and country pottery.
Living in rural South Shropshire on a working hill farm,
Jane creates distinctive designs and harmonious colours that
echo the surrounding landscape.
The pots are thrown on a kick-wheel and decorated using traditional
slip-ware techniques, metal oxides and raw glazed with clear and iron glazes.
Her pottery is both beautiful and practical and ranges from mugs, jugs,
bowls and teapots to individual sculptural tableaux, which can be
commissioned to reflect the recipients lifestyle.
